One of the main features of any party is the food, especially with a fun Cookie Monster party! You'll have cookies everywhere but should you have a cake too? We suggest yes, as the cake is the main feature of so many parties!
Cookie Monster Birthday Cake
Cooke Monster Cake Pan: If you like a traditional birthday cake, you can find Cookie Monster shaped cake pans, or you can just use a giant circle to make a giant cookie cake. Then die your icing blue and start icing the cookie monster cake. Don't forget the white and black googoly eyes!
Cookie Cake: Buy or make your own cookies, add frosting and sprinkles, stack them up on a platter, and add the candles to your birthday cookie tower. Be sure that there are enough cookies for all the children and that the candles can stand up somehow!

It’s always a challenge to figure out what young party guests will eat, especially when there are cookies everywhere they look. You want guests to leave your party feeling satisfied and you want to know that they have eaten more than just sweets and sugar. So, if you want to build on the theme with a little nutrition, here are a few ideas.
Pizza Cookies - Make mini pizzas or bagel pizzas for each guest. You can purchase various brands of mini frozen pizzas, or you can have each guest build his or her own pizza “cookie.” Start with a split English muffin, plain bagel, or a flour tortilla. Provide guests with several topping choices, including tomato sauce, a few kinds of shredded cheese, pepperoni, pineapple, sausage, olives, or mushrooms. Show guests how to spread sauce with the back of a spoon and add toppings. Then pop it in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese has melted. Voila! You have a fabulous, personalized cookie pizza for each guest!
Serve your round cookie pizzas with apple slices, banana slices, carrot sticks, cucumber circles, or Cookie Monster fruit snacks for a little extra nutrition. Make your own Cookie Monster Punch with white grape juice and a hint of blue food coloring, or look for blue raspberry Kool-aid or drink boxes. Milk is always a great party drink for children, too –make it a bit more festive and fun with a dash of blue food coloring!
Oh and needles to say, don't forget the cookies! You could even have a cookie monster cookie jar as the centerpiece on your table! But seriously, don't forget the cookies!
